KEYLOK ® announces memory enhancement of KEYLOK Fortress DONGLE
DENVER, May 19th, 2009 – KEYLOK®, a leading provider of software security products for over 28 years, today announced the enhancement of KEYLOK Fortress, its latest hardware security key utilizing driverless, Smart Card technology. KEYLOK has significantly increased the memory available on the Fortress USB hardware key.
Increasing memory to the KEYLOK Fortress product benefits our customers by delivering more options for software security. Dongle memory has been increased with options of 22,000 bytes or 55,000 bytes on the KEYLOK Fortress dongle. The increased size of memory opens up additional licensing options, including date-based licensing and counters. Additional memory further enhances the protection that KEYLOK currently offers by also allowing the software developer to support multiple products with one key.
With additional memory available on KEYLOK Fortress, user information such as user settings and user preferences can be stored on the dongle.
This data, that was previously stored in the application database or file, can now be stored on the KEYLOK Fortress and therefore will travel with the user from machine to machine, increasing customer convenience. In addition, the Remote Update feature allows changes to the dongle information stored in memory via telephone, email or internet.
All of these options released by KEYLOK available on the Fortress hardware key, result in an increased level of protection for a company’s most valuable asset, the intellectual property of the software it develops.
